AGM APPOINTS NEW DIRECTOR

Maltby CDT was delighted to welcome Maureen Matthews to it's board of directors at it's AGM held on 14th July 2006 at the Wesley Centre.

Maureen has been a Maltby resident for the last 18 years and is keen on walking and keep fit. She is a director of a small engineering company and a founder member of her local neighbourhood watch scheme. She joins Kathleen Morris and Derrick Mercer who were also re-appointed to the board for a further 3 years.

The Trust still has one vacancy available to fill their board of 12 but received no further eligible nominations. Should a suitable candidate come forward the board can co-opt them as a director without the need for a vote.

The 37 members in attendance heard about the Trust's successes from the previous year in getting both Maltby Mail and Repair with Care launched. They also heard about their plans for the forthcoming year exploring projects including an indoor bowling arena, organic food distribution and retail and a community based housing association.
